“Medicine For Kooks” (12x9)

This colorful piece was made with old medicine bottles dating from 1900-1920. All pieces were collected from a homestead in Southwest Colorado.

Many of these bottles held simple medicinal herbs while others held mixtures that were supposed to help with the Spanish Influenza of 1918.

Crazy to think that some of these bottles might have contained medicine that potentially saved someone's life!
